DLC

Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) is the hardest coating we can apply to a firearm.  It only comes in a graphite color but appears black with a light application of oil.  The surface is wear and heat resistant.  DLC has a low friction coefficient so it can have the same effect on internals as NP3+ and result in slightly lower trigger pulls.

What can DLC be applied to?

Although some places do offer DLC for aluminum, we only coat steel or stainless-steel parts.  DLC is suitable for frame, slide, barrel, controls, and internals.

How do I care for DLC?

DLC is not impervious to rust so we do recommend a light coat of oil periodically.
