Is this kit reliable with all types of primers and ammo? CGW's Ultra-Lite Competition kit can only be used reliably with Federal SP primers when using the very light HS-8500 (8.5#) hammer spring. It will not work with any other primer consistently. HS-12000 will reliably ignite practically any primer
Is this recommended for self-defense use? Only the Ultra-Lite Self-Defense version. The Competition version IS NOT RECOMMENDED for self defense use.
Will this kit make my single action dangerously light? No. Although the SA pull weight is affected, the difference is not as pronounced as you would expect.
What type of pull weights in DA can I expect? With a smoothed action, HS-8500 can deliver a 5 lb pull, or less, HS-12000 can deliver 7.0-7.5 lb pulls. HS-13 in the Ultra-Lite/SD will deliver 8.5-9.0 lb pulls.

EXT-FPB - Our extended firing pin with an optimized OAL of 2.488". Made in the USA from premium S-7 Tool steel then heat treated to RC40. Use this for optimal ignition with main springs up to 13#'s. Comes with matching premium firing pin spring.
EXT-FP - Extended Shadow/85 firing pin for CZ's that use a stop plate at the rear of the slide. Measures 2.500" +/- .001" and comes with a premium Made in the USA spring.
UL-DA - Tuneable firing pin kit for CZ's WITH A FIRING PIN block - SP-01/75B/P-01/PCR/ etc.
UL-DA/NFPB - Tuneable firing pin kit for CZ's W/O a firing pin block - Shadow/85 and very early CZ's with a firing pin stop plate.

Why a CGW firing pin?
CGW uses a "flat" impact face for the hammer. This eliminates peening of the hammer face. CGW firing pins are also longer on both ends. This means more force is transmitted to the primer = better ignition.
The low-lift area for the FP block means even with lower hammer hook geometry, the FP block will clear the FP, virtually eliminating mis-fires.
